Tell us about your early years and where you came from?
I am from Spain, born in La Coruna and raised in Asturias. After studying in Spain and France, I started my career in brand management in large international companies on different continents, developing my leadership profile by driving international business, creating, and transforming B2B/B2C brands and leading multicultural teams.
My pioneering spirit and passion for innovation have shaped my career to this day. After 20 years of management experience, I founded Why Consult in 2011. Since then, my expertise, intercultural experience and passion for entrepreneurial diversity have been key to driving innovation and growth.
In 2018, I founded net4tec nowadays the leading professional network to promote diversity and female careers in STEM and digital business.
Walk me through your work and what you are doing now in the Technology world
I am a woman on a mission: to unlock the power of diversity for organisations, for teams and for yourself.
With Why Consult, I am working on three different channels building an international ecosystem, so that the topic of diversity and inclusion gains more momentum:
What part of what you do, you love the most?
Making an impact: and bringing women into leadership positions, supporting female talent to grow and have the career they deserve based on their competence and ambition.
Breaking silos and collaboration: working with companies teams and talents, transforming employees into fans and fostering a new culture of leaders who embraces diversity, equality and inclusion as key drivers of innovation,
Innovate: develop sustainable business models and harness the power of technology to help us build a bright and successful future together.
What apps/software/tools can't you live without?
LinkedIn: as the larger and international professional network,
Canva: as the eassy to work visualisations tool
Deepl: hen you speak many languages but anyhow none right, deepl is the best companion! and
GenerativeAI Apps: as the best partner for the development of new concepts, business models and great happenings in all languages and visualization.
What's the best advice you've ever received?
Every woman on the career ladder has the duty to bring another woman with her”, quite inspired by Madeleine K. Albright’s quota: “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”
