Above all, I enjoy my work. I like to throw myself into complex topics, bring people together, develop long-term strategies or solve urgent problems in day-to-day business. I need the hustle and bustle. I am happy when I see my impact and the recognition and appreciation of my professional expertise.

In addition, I work with many different people who always give me new perspectives and food for thought. I like it when I’m challenged and have to leave my comfort zone. I have now developed a healthy self-confidence that gives me the security to master new difficult situations. This gives me the serenity to remain calm even in a completely new situation. Usually.

I find that really difficult to answer, because in the end many things went well and, looking back, I don’t see it as a big challenge. I’ve always had great bosses who encouraged and supported me. This backing has always helped me a lot in challenging situations.

What role do networks play for you in your career?
Far too long a not so big.
I had my first contact with networks via social media. Although these were not classic networks. My first point of contact was Madame Moneypenny, an online community for women to discuss finances. I got a lot of food for thought from this community, which ultimately led to coaching and then to Panda – The Woman Leadership Network. And Panda, in turn, led me to Net4Tec. And now I’m also part of the Net4Tec network and can introduce myself here as a role model.
I have long underestimated the power of networks. I am now active in various areas and am curious about the interesting contacts and opportunities that will result from this.

I am proud of my little family and of the life we ??shape every day.

Other people. On a variety of channels.
The exchange with family, friends and colleagues gives me many new perspectives. I find it interesting how differently different people look at the same topic. The same applies to social networks. I follow many of my role models on Instagram and LinkedIn and I always get interesting input and links to new podcasts. I like to listen to a lot of podcasts.

“Adapt to the men.” “Don’t wear a skirt, otherwise you’ll be so conspicuous.” “Put your hair back, it looks too feminine” I heard these and similar sentences a lot at the beginning of my career.

Three things:
Think about what you really want in your life! Don’t let life choices just happen. Make a plan and follow it.

“Make your partner a real partner” – Sheryl Sandberg.

Stay financially independent! Whatever your life model is – whether housewife, single career woman or everything in between – only if you are financially independent can you also make free decisions in the future.
