Purchasing leader and a coach | Kongsberg Automotive
What means career for you?
A journey of growth and personal transformation enabled by different roles, experiences, stretch assignments and people who helped you on the way.
A source of fulfillment by realizing your purpose and passion.
What inspires you?
Conscious leaders, who want to make a change and contribute to a better world, successful female role models, stories of people who transformed, enterpreneurs who build their success from nothing
What was your biggest professional challenge and how have you solved it?
Switching from high achiever to a first-time leader. Learning to let go, give a constructive feedback successfully, motivate employees. What helped me was my strong commitment to growth and self -reflection, asking for feedback and later working with a coach to build a different mindset.
Over 2 years ago I engaged in volunteering in a network (PN Munich) focusing on developing leaders to exchange with female leaders and build a skillset for the next leadership level. In 2019 I graduated from a professional coaching program (BeCoach Academy in Munich) and now I focus on leading with a coaching mindset.
What is the worst advice someone has ever said to you?
That I cannot have career and family at the same time. I strongly belief you can have both, I’m a mom of 2, progress in my career and create time for other meaningful activities for me like sport, volunteering or coaching. It all depends on what are your values, how you want to live them and how much you desire to follow your professional ambitions.
What importance have career networks for you in your professional career?
High importance. I’ve been very active on a voluntary base in a career network in the last 2 years (PN Munich) so I can see how it helped me to evolve: I gained new connections and mentors who supported me in my career, practiced skills, exchanged with like-minded people and gained new friends.
Besides I visit other networks events on occasion to gain new insights, learn and connect.
What is the learning or advice you would like to share with other women?
1. Belief in yourself and that you are resourceful. Discover your purpose and follow yous passion. Aim high. Choose a positive mindset.
2. Invest in relationship building and networking. Experience volunteering.
3. Invest in your development. Surround yourself with mentors, coaches and advisors who can help you to progress.
What are you passionate about?
My passion is to develop/transform individuals, teams and organizations. I really like to coach people to raise the awareness of their potential, develop (leadership) skills, help them to get unstuck and encourage a positive change. I love working with teams, maximizing diversity, building connection and trust, which are base for performance. I am passionate by the change in general and how to lead in on an individual and organizational level.
